The organization is a provider-driven system as opposed
to a payer-driven system. Control of the delivery and management of
care has been developed, implemented and managed by local providers.
The underlying premise of this type of system is to align the incentives
of the major providers of care: physicians, ancillaries and hospitals.
As a partnership between Florida Hospital and its
physicians, our goal is to effectively coordinate high-quality, cost
effective patient care. FMHN represents an exceptional regional network
of healthcare providers located primarily in Volusia and Flagler Counties
with a selection of more than 560 Primary Care and Specialist physicians
encompassing numerous major medical and surgical specialties, in addition
to multiple ancillary providers that supply such services as: audiology,
diabetes management, durable medical equipment, home health, home
infusion, hospice, laboratory, oncology, orthotics and prosthetics,
outpatient surgery, radiology, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, women’s
health and wound care.
The
clients FMHN serves include third party administrators (TPA’s)
or claims payers, self-funded employer groups, fully-insured insurance
organizations, PPO’s and health maintenance organizations (HMO’s).
In the continually changing healthcare environment, FMHN is committed
to servicing the needs of our customers and community by offering
a high-quality network, affordable coverage and other beneficial services
– all on a local basis.
